Among the many advantages of membership in the Memphis-area Home Education Association are the opportunities to participate in MHEA-sponsored activities throughout the year. These activities are designed to provide school level competition for MHEA members. Most activities are organized by member support groups and are sponsored by area organizations and businesses and allow for advancement to the local, state, and national competitions.
CURRENT & UPCOMING EVENTS
Geography Bee - held in November and sponsored by the National Geographic Society; allows for advancement to state and national competitions.
MHEA Spelling Bee - held in December and sponsored by The Commercial Appeal & Scripps-Howard; allows for advancement to the county, state and national competitions.
THEA Rally Day - held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Tennessee State Capitol, Nashville, TN.
MHEA Field Day - organized by the MHEA Honor Society and will be held in April at the Buckhead Creek Facility.
MHEA Spring Banquet - held on May 10, 2012.
MHEA Senior Graduation - held on May 12, 2012.
MHEA Used Book Sale & Children's Marketplace - held in May.
MHEA Kindergarten Graduation - held in May.
MHEA Conference/Expo & Curriculum Fair - held on April 12-14, 2012.

MHEA Art Contest - held on Friday, August 21, 2011 , at Great Oaks Church of Christ, 3355 Brunswick Drive in Bartlett. Winners advanced to the Delta Fair.
