HiS Choir

HiS Choir is the MHEA high school choral group. HiS Choir is open to all homeschoolers in the 7th through 12th grades. It is a non-audition choir and all are welcome, and invited to join. Last year HiS Choir had 32 members. We sing Christian music, mostly contemporary. Cost is $15 per student, per semester. This money is used to purchase music and folders, print programs and meet the other miscellaneous needs of HiS Choir. Membership in HiS Choir is worth ½ credit toward a high school fine arts requirement per year. Rehearsals are open and parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings and friends are welcome to attend. Rehearsals are held at First Evangelical Church on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30.

HiS Choir is directed by Mr. John McWhorter, a "retired" homeschooler of two grown daughters, and is accompanied by HannahClaire Pinkston, a graduated homeschooler, who is a piano performance major at the University of Memphis. If you have any questions concerning HiS Choir please contact Mr. John McWhorter at HiSChoir@MemphisHomeschool.org.
